How to Set Up an Event

A step-by-step guide to creating and setting up your pickleball tournament in Quke

Step 1: Create Event

  1. Navigate to app.qukepb.com/tournaments
  2. Click the “Create Tournament” button in the top right corner

Step 2: Name Event

  1. Enter your tournament name
  2. Click “Create”

Step 3: Configure Event Settings

On the event configuration page:

  1. Review and adjust the tournament name if needed
  2. Select Quke Admin as the Tournament Director
    • This determines which email address players will use for questions
  3. Input general tournament information
    • This information applies to the entire tournament
    • Specific division/bracket details can be added later
  4. Click “Create Bracket” to set up your first division

Step 4: Create Your First Bracket

In the bracket creation popup:

  1. Name your bracket (e.g., “Crazy 8s Night”)
  2. Set the date and time for this bracket
  3. Select the bracket format:
    • Crazy 8s
    • Round Robin + Single Elimination
    • Other available formats

Step 5: Configure Bracket Details

The bracket configuration page will show your initial settings. Next:

  1. Add a detailed description for the bracket
  2. Select which courts will be used

Pro Tip: Use the Quke Tournament Calculator to determine how many courts you need. Simply enter your expected number of teams to get a court count recommendation.

Step 6: Add Players

Option A: Manual Player Entry

  1. Click the “Players” tab at the top of the bracket
  2. Click “Create”
  3. Select “Players” from the popup
  4. Enter player information manually
    • Use “Add Another” to include additional players/teams
  5. Click “Save” to confirm all entries

Option B: Bulk Upload

  1. Download the appropriate CSV template:
    • Individual registration template
    • Team registration template
  2. Fill out the template with player information
  3. Drag and drop the completed template to upload

Managing Players

  • Edit or delete players by clicking the three dots next to their name
  • Select “Edit” from the dropdown menu
  • You can modify the player list anytime before the event starts
